Earlier this year the neo-classical artist / composer Gifts from Crows aka Richard Laurence teamed up with the Northern Film Orchestra to translate three of his compositions from his debut album Holding a Thought Forever into fully fleshed orchestral composition. Laurence stated, "I would like to think that this is the definitive version of 'No Place In This World'. The way the Northern Film Orchestra played the score was a profoundly moving experience, especially with the superb acoustics of Stoller Hall itself, all of which was captured in this recording." We hear an already emotional and elegiac composition that was recorded with piano and electronics turn into a soaring and utterly moving composition with this orchestral rendition. Set against footage of the recording and beautiful shots of animals and nature seemingly unware of the human observer.
