“THE SUN MAY CRY” by the 15 year old artist Ray Montano who records under the name infinite vacation completely floored me. Not only is Montano punching way above his work in the world of Doom-Heavy Shoeagze (think Jesu, Planning for Burial, Big | Brave, Midwife) for any artist at any point of their career, the fact that Montano is playing everything himself and has a seemingly astute mastery of the mixing such huge sounds with such a delicate range before he’s legally allowed to drive is awe-inducing. “THE SUN MAY CRY” features some excellent reverb heavy droning guitars, huge and spacious percussion and buried vocals that seep through the high noisefloor of the song.
