A remix to the Lesotho based Morena Leraba “Heleru" by Vox Portent is a timely and incredibly engaging mix of Afro-futurist beats and Sesotho traditional music and poetry. According to the press release, “In my remix of "Heleru," I breathed new life into the track by infusing it with a high-energy techno vibe and an Afro-futurist theme. To achieve this, I accelerated the tempo and introduced pulsating basslines and intricate African percussion patterns, blending tradition with modernity. Retaining the rapid vocals and existing stems, I rearranged them in a way to create a new Afro space-age soundscape.”
