N'XAM - "Same Landscapes"

From the album “Music for Train Takers” the French artist N’XAM creates a longform ambient drone composition that tracks the feeling of riding a train through changing landscapes. The forward momentum remains constant but subtle shifts in landscape keep our attention glued. Of the creation of the track N’XAM states, “This song starts by an "old-school" minimalist vibe, to slowly go to more ambient/drone atmospheres on the following tracks. The starting point of the composition was directly inspired by the method used by Brian Eno on his song "Discreet Music". But instead of mainly tweaking EQs to create movement, I also played a lot with the reverbs and delays.” This peak behind the veil sees the artist utilizing a lot of subtle movements to create big, song-defining drift.
