Field recordings, a chopped up piano playing some heavy James Blake chords, shuffling hi-hats and some side-chained serrated synths make up this brilliantly constructed and endlessly building track by the Australian artist OBSSV. Perfectly suited for foggy train rides or early morning epiphanies, the textural elements that make up “Ash//Raze” create enough spatial distance between each other to create incredibly disorienting and hypnotic effects. Lovely work.
