The Netherlands based duo Poulson Sq. have created a beautiful swarm of ambient tones, pedal steel washes and floating keys that pierce the veil with a sense of purpose. Finding it’s inspiration in Claude Debussey’s La Mer, “Slow Tide” is a moving and ultimately peaceful composition that follows a well-worn but trusty path of emotionally centered ambient music put forth by artists like Stars of the Lid and Daniel Lanois.
