Sun Ohm is a multi-faceted artist living and working in Paris, Sun Ohm's practice combines his experiences in the fields of visual arts, contemporary art, jazz and contemporary music to offer a panel of electronic creations panning over a broad spectrum of sensibilities. On “Sonorisation no.1” the title card reminds us that all the sounds contained here are made from ceramic objects. By striking, scraping and manipulating their sounds, Sun Ohm is able to produce incredible range of dynamic sounds that fold neatly into his approach to forward thinking and engaging electronic music. Without this information of the source of the sound, “Sonorisation no.1” would still be just as radiant. Ambient pads, noise fills and all timbre of percussion are handled by Sun Ohm’s deft handling of his source material.
