This mix is a collaboration with Northern Kentucky DJ RAW TIME.

"For this mix I tried to focus on the on feeling rather than a cohesive sonic palate. On retrospect, the feeling that I am reaching for here is the bodily sensation of being overwhelmed when our sensory inputs are laid flat by the sheer amount of information flowing into us at once. I tended to focus on how regional sonic predispositions achieve the same ends while coming from completely different places. For example the relatively laid back amapiano groove of Teno Afrika’s “8 Ubers” has a hi hat and shaker that fills me with as much tension as the noise terror onslaught of Vladislav Delay’s “Rakkine”. As a therapist I try to find safe and manageable ways to experience these “uncomfortable” emotions. Music is the process that works for me. I hope, however, that at some point in this mix – whether it’s Colin Ward’s brilliantly warped killd by or Artefacto’s politically situated Tecno Pop or even Sontag Shogun’s x Lau
Nau’s beautifully swelling ambient techno – that things veer a bit into the red and just at the edges of your window of tolerance."
