I haven’t heard too many songs that reach the same level of beauty and ache that “Aloe” do. BREATHERRR is the brainchild of L.A. based Michael Anthony Espinach and with it’s expanded line-up features members of Crystal Antlers, DRUGS and Goblincock. “Aloe” is a nine minute drone that edges at distortion at almost every turn, always keeping the ebbing tonal shifts of the remarkably restrained composition always at the knife edge of expectation for it to shift into more distorted and noisier territory. It never does and this stasis is quite beautiful.
