According to the NYC based composer Epokhe, “Everything at Once” was inspired by the Greek philosopher Parmenides who “who believed that time and change were an illusion and everything exists all together at once.” According to Epokhe,  “I wanted to express what it might feel like to experience the whole universe and all of time as one single thing happening in the same moment.” This ambitious inspiration for “Everything at Once” is met with a massively ambitious track that tracks the expansion and ascending grandeur of several synth lines going through several cycles of birth / rebirth, death / renewal all at once on their trajectory to some point of eventual singularity. In whatever context you listen to Epokhe’s track, it is one of those stops you from whatever you are doing to sit and listen with rapt attention.
