On the newest single from Goldmund from his recently released album  The Time it Takes on Western Vinyl we hear Keith Kenniff’s characteristically beautiful piano work under the warm cloud cover of an analog warble with some deep synth lines running as countermelodies. These synth additions really open up Goldmund’s work to new emotional vistas. Soaring isn’t an adjective I use often for this kind of minimal piano work, but here we are. Fans of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Nils Frahm should be familiar with Kenniff’s output.
