What appears to be a play on the classic miminilst record “Music for Nine Postcards” by Hiroshi Yoshimura, “Postcard (Times Square)  off of Music for 15 Emails is a fitting tribute. Featuring one-take field recordings from Times Square (ah…to hear all those people in one place) and a minimilst piano and keys passages that in either match the intensity of the crowded block or take a spacious backseat – weaving in and out of the field recording. It makes its presence known as a sound that blends into the commotion surrounding it. A brilliant and accessible slice of avant-garde tone poetry.
