Sometimes a track will give up all of it’s secrets right away. Thomas Gauntt explains “Scenery Slicer” as ” A cheap drum machine going through a broken fuzz pedal going into a massive MaxMSP patch.” While that may explain the contours of this sound, the worlds-within-worlds of these rapid fire bursts of noise and scene-setting dark ambient passages are  more ambitious than their humble origins. It’s a glitchy, pitch-shifting, high BPM LSD-spiked sugar rush that refuses to let up in its entire 9 minute workout. Solid stuff.
