Devin Sarno & Patrick Shiroishi - "Sound Study Two"

Legendary drone artist Devin Sarno is joined by one of our favorite artists - saxophonist and vocalist Patrick Shiroishi (who put out 2 of my favorite albums last year) to create a beautifully cresting and dynamic 10 minute composition that features elongated tonal passages that ride that knife edge of distortion and beauty with Shiroishi’s inherently lyrical saxophone passages and reverent vocalizations. Devin Sarno’s collaborative work is top-notch, it’s wonderful to see him continually collaborating and being inspired by generations of experimental artists whose work thrives in the margins.
