LISA DARLING - "OHIOVILLE"

Using hypnotically looped, wordless vocals, Lisa Darling sends vowels deep into the unexcorcised corners of our psyche, using her voice, as she says to "aid the process of identifying and unlocking fossilized trauma/grief. She uses her music as a vessel to foster energetic and emotional reconnection."  Her work is remisicent of Julianna Barwick's looped liturgical passages and Big Bend's half-improvised vocal compositions. Darling's voice is sent high into the rafters and deep into crevasses of our minds where our blocked residual trauma memories live. Really compelling work.
