The Nashville based local spells. have created a track full of linear madness, recycled and augmented musical lines that fold back into themselves like sly, inside joke between the producer and the music. Taking a line from artists like Fuck Buttons or Holy Fuck (a lot of Fuck related bands in the 2010’s doing this kind of music), local spells. set their controls to the heart of the sun, splaying out decaying synth lines and a steady 4-4 beat until the track slams into a wall of harsh noise like Ferrari bursting into flames against the side of a building. As the wall slowly consumes everything we hear the recycled gasps of beats and synth melodies bursting before dying. Really lovely stuff here.
