NAKAMURA Hiroyuki - "Sing" / ""Get Rid Of My Anxiety""

The Japanese experimental piano artist NAKAMURA Hiroyuki shares two new piano compositions that offer a peek into the creative brain of the artist. “Get Rid of My Anxiety” features what Hiroyuki calls “exquisitely violent mosaics comprised of loops and extemporaneous call-and-response voices”. There is a lovely way the chopped melodies ping pong in and out of the speaker field creating a disorienting but sonorous effect. “Sing” according to Hiroyuki “shifts our listening perspective, zooming in on NAKAMURA’s sentimental lead and bringing us physically closer to the piano”.
