Neil Foster - "All Things Pass"

A bit ago we featured Neil Foster’s “Dawn River” and were enraptured by his piano and field recordings that he presented heavily on that track. On “All Things Pass”, Foster wrote a composition as a “meditation on the passing of time, and the melancholy beauty of being here.” The interplay between strings and piano melodies, interspersed with field recordings creates a melancholic atmosphere full of sweet reveries that fade into the track’s soft blue hue. Droning strings shift in a glacial pace or cut a striking figure against the track’s heavy melancholia care of the beautifully downcast piano melodies.
