Pamphlets - "Flowers"
With some really favorable nods to bands like Ought and Life Without Buildings the NYC based Pamphlets offer a yelping, bright-eyed exploration of the lifecycle of conflict in which the track traces it’s “timeline of an era of conflict from its glorified beginnings, its strain of war weariness and its eventual chaotic climax and the reflective resolution.”. As an anti-war song the song’s wild-eyed vocals and pummeling Gang of Four riffs offer a sincere denunciation without being too heavy handed.
