Philip Clemo - "Dream of Shattered Matters"

Where this song begins and where it ends is something truly beautiful to behold. Starting as a jazzy, almost bluesy meander through “Dream of Shattered Mirrors” it ends up on the other side as a gorgeous orchestral piece, weaving and winding itself around the central melodic motif. The track comes from the album “the rooms” which according to the press release is a, “hypnotic journey into sonic space: through individual sound ‘rooms’ and into the places in between. It is also a journey of awakening. The album moves through moments of uncommon beauty, brooding reflection, intricate webs of textural complexity and atmospheric stillness. The Rooms was a complex project and took almost three years to complete. It began with Philip Clemo’s preparations of dense atmospheres, created by processing and combining sounds from diverse sources, environmental and man-made. From these elements he constructed sound ‘rooms’ for the guest musicians to explore.”
