Sound of Fractures - "Ultraviolet"

Sound of Fractures - "Ultraviolet"

The UK producer Sound of Fractures is back with another tasteful and engaging track of Future Garage with “Ultraviolet”. Fans of Jamie XX, The Range and Four Tet should pay attention here. Lovely pads, shimmering stabs and a lurching Garage percussion pattern create a warm aural atmosphere to lose an afternoon in. Of the track, the producer states,

’Ultraviolet’ is inspired by this idea of people being more than what you see on the surface, it's this idea that some of the most interesting and complex people I know are not outgoing people, and the things that make us beautiful can take time to unpack and see.”

Infusing his love for films, stories and human experiences, Sound Of Fractures shares honest and visceral experiences through his music. A nostalgic hit best served cold for the summer, “Ultraviolet” emerges with delicate notes and synth lines, effortlessly floating over the first half of the track before catchy kick drums and subtle hi-hats break the anticipation — the track bursting into life. With the drop comes a series of effective synth samples, smartly layered alongside distant, echoing vocals — providing raw energy and an abundance of emotional intensity. Based around the idea of not taking things at surface level, “Ultraviolet” showcases the Londoner’s sophisticated sound and innate skill in crafting a sense of vintage nostalgia, whilst planting himself distinctly in today’s UK electronic music scene.”
