Analise Hausmann - "Part Two"

Analise Hausmann’s “Part Two” balances the light and dark inherent in drone. The slow detuning after the pleasant classical influenced interlude is a perfectly timed descent into feelings of tension and unease Hausmann’s album hints at. According to Hausmann, “House Centipedes is a four-movement piece founded on electronically manipulated layers and extended techniques on the electric and acoustic violin and the electric guitar. The dark drones create an ambient soundscape, evoking a sense of tension and unease. Part 2 is unique in the piece because it brings a sense of beauty and calm, as well.”
