Conflict at Serenity Pools - "Inside" / "Silence Mantles"

Conflict at Serenity Pools is a Los Angeles based artist whose rough approximations of private label New Age work is replete through the floating arpeggios, patient unfolding percussion and serenely experimental work through his album Type B - which CASP states, “reaches back in time to earlier works of CASP, and while similar in it’s mix-tape, mixed-genre take, it simmers in a nebulous, provisional flow of piano and synth music, darkening into environmental electronic scapes similar to those inspired by the likes of Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Underworld, and more recently the Field.” We can hear a lot of these influences play themselves out through the run time of “Inside” as well as the more Field-inspired “Silence Mantles” an excellent ambient techno track that marshals some of that dancefloor energy through a busted ear drum of ambient influences.
