Daughter of Dawn is the solo project of Twin Cities artist Emma Goldman Grey - a Trans artist whose musical output sits in the middle of a venn diagram of various influences and traditions. Fans of Jesu and Massive Attack will find a kindred spirit in the aching, nocturnal delivery of trip-hop beats with an overlay of moody post-rock that rides just below the line of breaking into a cathartic climax. This dark and brooding work explores " inherent selfishness of choosing to stay blind to the injustices that marginalized people face every day.
