HYENAZ - "PERIMETER"

Deeply rhythmic and propulsive, "Perimeter by the German performance art and musical collective Hyenaz asks the question:  what does it feel like to understand oneself as “just outside” and yet also “just barely inside” ... an identity, a concept, a philosophy, a group, a family, a home, a situation, a gathering?" These questions are asked in a voice that sounds like it was recorded by an EKG machine picking up ghosts from the next room. Rhythmic lines intersect with one another while faint flourishes of woodwinds and strings shade this otherwise solely percussion and voice composition. Terrifying and thought provoking, "Perimeter" is Hyenaz operating near their peak.
