Jack Quinn - "Abrasax"

The Toronto based artist Jack Quinn explains that ,“The aim with Abrasax was to create a song that may have always existed, that continues to play out there somewhere. Maybe you stumble on it as you move on from this world, or maybe it's just there as you dream. It's a delicate sparring match between the Wurlitzer, guitars and ambient drones.” This idea of hauntological music, of timelessness out of time is one that artists like Burial and The Caretaker explore, but Jack Quinn’s approach is to create something that floats on the slipstream of time without reference.
