Mike Honcho - "Serengeti"

Mike Honcho is a Boston based producer who, like contemporaries The Sight Below, Mall Grab and DJ Boring, work unfolding percussive patterns, arpeggiating synths and engaging vocal samples under a thick pall of ambient tones and just-in-the-red melodies. “Serengeti” incorporates some of these best tendencies, layering thick washes of ambient pads over swirling, complex rhythmic patterns and expertly produced bedroom production. There’s hope for us yet.
