Nathan Schram - "Waterbear"

Violist and ace collaborator Nathan Schram’s solo work on “Waterbear” is an expressive and deeply emotional journey through childhood recollections that result in some kind of catharsis felt in this elegiac track. Utilizing a wide range of the viola’s tonal variety, strings on “Waterbear” soar, swoon, pluck and scrape to create this gorgeous track. Nathan Schram’s work outside of this solo outing is also of note. As the violist in the Attacca Quartet. Nathan has collaborated, in the studio and on stage, with Björk, James Blake, Sting, David Crosby, Becca Stevens, David Byrne, Just Blaze, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell and others. Nathan is a PhD student in composition at Princeton University and an Honorary Ambassador to the city of Chuncheon, South Korea.
