Pre Polar - "Cold Fated"

“Cold Fated” by Pre Polar off of the album Atoms is a beautiful and timely entry into Pre Polar’s excellent canon of ambient work. According to the press release, “The tracks are all made from an old borrowed pedal steel and lap guitar through a variety of effects chains, so creating this album was full of surprises and a lot of fun. These are accompanied by a prepared piano, fretless bass, and odd percussion instruments.

The output of this effort has a dark, haunting, ambient tone throughout the tracks. Somewhat mysterious and dreamlike, yet approachable melodies and instrumentation.”
