SHANNON FERGUSON - "STANDING WAVES"

After a decade + of playing in the 00's indie rock band Longwave, Shannon Ferguson has released an album called Rooms at Seat that offer a peek into Ferguson's interest and adeptness at creating moving ambient music from a baritone guitar, Casio sk-1 and a homemade delay pedal. All of this culminates in some beautiful, breathing ambient work that swells and eddies along with an internal lunar tide that one syncs into on long ocean voyages. Hidden just beneath the distorted outer crust. It's a stirring composition that is easy to find oneself completely immersed in.
