Sound of Fractures - "Hold Me"

Sound of Fractures - "Hold Me"

London’s Sound of Fractures is extremely busy. While garnering a wide fan base for his inherently emotional future garage sound that brings together energetic percussion, emotive piano and absolutely crushing synths, the artist is on the burgeoning movement of translating electronic music to the masses as a container that holds many competing and often conflicting emotions at once. Unlike the word Chantepleure (crying and singing at the same time) we don’t quite have a word yet for this kind of movement as catharsis that artists like Sound of Fractures. Fred Again, Overmono and more have been sharing with the world.

Aside from his latest with “Hold Me” - an excellent example of this (just listen to that vocal sample) SOund of Fractures work has been exploring how web3 can create novel ways for both musicians and fans to interact with the music they love. According to the press release, “In a relatively brief time period, Reddington has established himself as a truly innovative presence on the UK music scene. In just under two years, Reddington has sold out 21 music NFT collections, gained 2M Spotify streams, built a 30K+ playlist, and maintains a bustling200-strong fan community on Telegram.

His latest project is Wild Awake — a creative network and incubator, Wild Awake brings together five independent electronic artists from across the UK & US to share resources and explore Web3 technology within a community of fellow artists, rather than through soulless”
