Antarctic Wastelands x IKSRE - "Orbits"

A pretty dreamy collaboration between the Hong Kong based Antarctic Wastelands and the Australia based IKSRE. I’ve kept IKSRE’s collaboration with marine eyes on around the house on repeat. This collaboration seems like another natural fit. A slightly pulsating, linear and minimal ambient track that showcases IKSRE’s vocal articulations and the two’s ability to blend wordless narratives together effortlessly. From the press release, “inspired by planetary orbital systems, Orbits features meditative, ethereal vocals that ebb and flow over ever-evolving ostinato synth and piano riffs.” Fans of Hiroshi Yoshimura and Suzanne Ciani should take note.
