Bon Psy - "Order"

Bon Psy - "Order"

The UK based producer Bon-Psy has created an absolutely glowing and beautiful piece of music that sits nicely between ambient, glitched processing and gorgeous neo-classical piano. The track builds from field recordings, a glitched ambient soundbed to the gradual introduction of a simple piano melody that eventually explodes into a refracted piece of experimental sound design. Lush, wordless vocals and a heavily distorted synth melody join later.

Of the track Bon-Psy states, ““To me it felt like the musical embodiment of that feeling of relief after a particularly stressful situation is over and the world around you retracts its claws for a few minutes to let you recover. In my own life, I think about the times when I’ve had these situations. Leading up to them, my mind would be in complete chaos thinking about the whole scenario. I likened this to walking on a tightrope above the Grand Canyon whilst life throws rocks at me, trying to knock me off my balance. But, having kept my footing and successfully negotiating it, I would be filled with a wonderful sense of relief. This song is that moment encapsulated, it’s the brief time afterwards where the chaos has subsided for a little while and everything is back in its right place.””
