HUGAR - "STARS AS EYES REWORK"

In this reworking by Hugar of Robot Koch's brilliant track "Stars as Eyes" from his album The Next Billion Years, the Icelandic duo Hugar take the track into contemplative and resonant new directions. Relying on deep and melancholic string arrangements, stately piano compositions and drones that sweep across the audio field like a steady wind, Hugar expand on Koch's compositional and socio-political work. Koch's The Next Billion Years is inspired by the audio recordings of 20th century French explorer, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, the album imagines and gives sounds to a far distant future. Hugar push this into an even more dire now.
