Krell - "Realms"

Inspired by artists like Oneotrix Point Never, GAS and KMRU, our intro young German producer’s work comes through “Realms” from the EP Sonic Simulation. Krell presents a nice approximation of floating New Age synths that streak across the skynet before plummeting into agitated and deeply propulsive / paranoid vocal driven work that processes Krell’s voice into a million shards. The start of a break beat just starts to raise it’s head before the song’s abrupt transition. Of the artist, the press release states, “The 19-year-old newcomer already won over fans with his electronic ambient music, combining nostalgic and peaceful sonic elements with a daring dystopian twist. While Link heavily relies on virtual emulations of vintage Roland synthesizers, his affinity for distorting unconventional samples, as well as blending these key elements with a tasteful touch of modular and granular synth particles, subvert his listener’s expectations, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in his Ambient compositions.”
