Neil Foster - "Still Point"

The UK based artist Neil Foster presents a delicately balanced composition that is built from the ground up with field recordings, swelling drones, stirring synths and cascading pianos. It’s hard to find a center here, but there is definitely a there, there. A glowing drone emanating from the center. Of the track, he states, “'Still Point' is a meditative, reflective dreamscape. It started with some field recordings that I collected in the alleyways of the ancient Medina of Fez, Morocco. This is a place which evokes a deep sense of mystery for me. I layered some synth-based textural loops and instrumental samples with the field recordings before improvising cascading lines of electric piano which completed the piece.”
