Omar Raafat - "Drifting"

Omar Raafat creates some of my favorite ambient / neo-classical music. Creating whole worlds out of slide guitar and piano, “Drifting” pairs these two elements with subtle and elegant electronic and field recording elements that slowly unfold and reveal themselves as swells of strings rise and fall in regular intervals. Matching the melancholy watercolor of the front cover, “Drifting” pulls the listener into a place of deep reflection. Amazing work from this Canadian composer.
