PAST PALMS - "RAINWATER"

There is a specific and exquisite kind of beauty emanating from the the U.S. experimental electronic artist's latest single "Rainwater".  According to the artist the track attempts to capture the feeling of surrounding oneself with living houseplants -  a bright, living terrain - while the world outside is bleak and grey.  Past Palms accomplishes this by creating lush, three-dimensional soundscapes that feature bass heavy, downtempo beats, muted vocal samples, organic rhythmic samples and melodic synth lines that are both airy and fuzzed out. A lovely and engrossing listen.
