Hereafter - "Weathering the Storm"

Hereafter - "Weathering the Storm"

The Lehigh Valley, PA based one-man Post-Rock project Hereafter presents a really compelling and unique contribution to the genre. Incorporating both electronically processed breakbeats and some very tasteful blasts, “Weathering the Storm” is a study in dynamics that make Post Rock an engaging artform even when it’s a variation on a similar theme on repeat. Expert work here.

From the press release, “This song was written over the summer of 2021 during probably one of the most intense storms I've ever experienced, which was the influence behind the song title. At the time, I was processing what I wanted this album to fully encompass. It's about a rough patch in a social situation in which people expose their true colors after years of putting up a fake front. The song starts upbeat/happier and eventually reveals a darker, more frantic ending.”
