Strulgattu & Meierkord - "Vinterobservationer"

"Vinterobservationer" is translated as “Winter Observations” from Strulgattu & Meierkord’s native Swedish. The track and the accompanying video burrow deep into the healing, rest and impending danger of the winter months with their synth composition. Winter sports are paired with driving percussion, a pulsing bass line and washes of drones and piercing synth lines that ratchet up the drift into winter. From the press release, “Strulgattu & Meierkord is a trio that explores and translates observations, feelings, and fragrances associated with nature and the countryside into musical experiences. We want media coverage for the tune Vinterobservationer (Winter Observations) that was released on March 12, 2022, the first song from the forthcoming album "Ankomstkarta" (release: October 22, 2022). The album theme is the four seasons, and the song Vinterobservationer is a musical interpretation of winter as both scientific observation and subjective experience. Weather and the shift of nature is a recurring topic of conversation, that has changed from being a convenient way of getting in touch with people, to something that also entails an existential dimension about our survival as human beings”
